The Pew Charitable Trusts

Washington, DC
Overview

The Pew Charitable Trusts, a nonprofit geared at using the power of knowledge to solve today's most challenging problems, was looking to renovate their current workspace. HITT was chosen to conduct the 46,000-sf interior renovation of their office consisting of a complete demolition and renovation of two floors in an existing and occupied space. Major aspects of the project included a new communicating stairway, all-glass connections to the building lobby and the conversion of a skylight opening into a new roof terrace. Gensler, with their high-end detail specifications, was heavily involved throughout the renovation and held HITT to a very high standard of fit and finish, which was equally mirrored by the quality standards desired by the client.
