Audubon Engineering Solutions

Houston, TX
Overview

Audubon Engineering Solutions is a global engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services provider serving the oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, and pipeline industries.

This project was a negotiated build-out of Audubon’s eighth floor in its Houston office. The 23,000-sf space was demolished and re-built in 10 weeks to include a mix of conference rooms, open and private offices, collaboration areas, break rooms, restrooms, an elevator lobby, and a reception area.

One of the unique features in the collaboration area is the suspended acoustical panels from the Haworth Kvadrat Cloud System. Installation was coordinated with the architect for specific placement of each individual cloud and suspension wire. Additionally, the space included Armstrong’s SoundScapes Shapes Hexagon panels, which aesthetically enrich the space and also enhance the acoustics in the open area.

Other custom details included a reclaimed wood wall and a ManOMan suspension light in elevator lobby and reception area. The ManOMan piece is a decorative, stick-like light fixture that provides a wide diffusion of glare-free light that considerably illuminates the room.
